No Secret Trade Deals

Over recent months John has been campigning hard against TTIP.

John believes that t’s time to take a stand against TTIP and CETA, two international trade deals currently being negotiated in secret with the US and Canada.

These deals alongside a global net of similar intergovernmental agreements aim to hand multinational corporations absolute free reign over signature nations established democratic laws.  

These deals seek to erode national regulations formulated to protect consumers from harm and employees from abuse in the name of the freemarket.  From similar agreements already in place across the globe we can expect to see corporations suing the UK or Scottish government if they try to bring in better health regulations or increase the national minimum wage.  

Furthermore these deals are expected to increase income inequality as the additional competition to compete with US wages will result in pay cuts for employees in production industries and could potentially result  in the loss of 600, 000 jobs across the EU.
